Antonio Margarito's Manager Lashes Out at Manny Pacquiao's Trainer

Francisco Espinosa is the co-manager of Antonio Margarito (38-6, 27 knockouts), who is training at the Robert Garcia Boxing Academy in Oxnard, Calif.,for a Nov. 13, HBO pay-per-view televised, Top Rank Promotions battle opposite WBO welterweight (147 pounds) king Manny Pacquiao (51-3-2, 38 KOs).

Pacquiao takes a 12-fight winning streak that includes eight KOs into his bout in pursuit of the WBC's junior middleweight (154 pounds) title.

Margarito sees win by knockout on Nov. 13

MANILA, Philippines — Antonio Margarito doesn’t see himself getting knocked out by Manny Pacquiao on Nov. 13 in Dallas.

It’s the other way around, according to the Mexican’s crystal ball.

“In the early rounds, he (Pacquiao) will be quick and will land his best shots,” Margarito said in a video interview on ringtv.com.

Autobiography of Manny Pacquiao to be released

Boxing - Seven-time world champion Manny Pacquiao (51-3-2) of the Philippines has an autobiography available for pre-sale on online retailer Amazon.com. [ See cover. ] The book is officially authored by the "Pacman", and is co-written with Timothy James. In a statement to Examiner.com (Marv Dumon), the Filipino boxer - who is also an elected congressman in his native homeland - signed an exclusive book deal with Dunham Books earlier this year.

HBO paints clear picture of Pacquiao’s distractions in ‘24/7’ premiere

Antonio Margarito isn’t letting his guard down much, but HBO has penetrated the defenses of Manny Pacquiao and Freddie Roach in this week’s premiere of its “24/7” buildup to the Nov. 13 Pacquiao-Margarito bout in Texas.

Trainer Roach, for example, doesn’t fight the mob that surrounds him at a mall in Baguio -- a passel of schoolgirls from the Justin Bieber demographic. This demonstration of Roach’s popularity in the Philippines is not the core of the episode, but Roach’s sweet reaction to that flattering attention is symbolic of what we see happening to Pacquiao.
