Pacquiao vs. Margarito tickets selling fast, will the pay per view do the same?

f early indications are anything to go by, the tickets for Manny Pacquiao's November clash with Antonio Margarito are going fast, and the live attendance for the bout will probably eclipse the crowd that gathered to watch Pacquiao's last outing, a 12 round decision over little known Joshua Clottey in March.

A recent Manilla Bulletin article by Nick Giongco quoted Top Rank boss Bob arum as saying:

“Tickets just went on sale and the response is great and most of the high-priced seats have been sold. Soon, sales will hit the roof,”

Manny changed my life - Roach

MANILA, Philippines - Boxing trainer Freddie Roach’s biggest paycheck as a fighter was $13,000 which he earned in losing a decision to Hector (Macho) Camacho in 1985. When he worked Oscar de la Hoya’s corner for his 2007 fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr., Roach was paid $750,000. And since Manny Pacquiao’s ascendancy, Roach has raked in at least $1 million a bout with the world’s No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter.

“Manny changed my life,” said Roach in an interview a few days before leaving Manila last Sunday to set up Pacquiao’s training camp in Baguio. “I never imagined, nearly 10 years ago when Manny walked into the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles, we would be where we are today.”

"Don’t tell God that you have a big problem, but tell your problem that you have a great God"-- Manny Pacquiao

Sometimes, some people get so far that they forget how they got to where they are. Manny Pacquiao is perhaps the most revered sports figure in Philippine Sports history thanks to his ring exploits, pugilistic brilliance and crowd-pleasing aggressive fighting style. As much as he is an exceptional athlete however, Pacquiao is also beloved for the manner in which he conducts himself outside the ring. Before he ever conceived of even donning the label of a seven division world boxing champion, Pacquiao was being hailed as The People's Champion for his gregarious personality and humble demeanor. But the one thing that truly stands out about Pacquiao is his faith. From day one, Pacquiao has attributed his success to his faith and has made it a point to humble himself and whatever achievements he may have accomplished to THE MAN upstairs.

Tungod, Inabanga, Bohol– Right from its very inception up to this very day, the Pacquiao-Margarito super welterweight showdown has been met with harsh criticisms from fans and critics alike. Perhaps it is understandble, considering the fact that this encounter, though expected to be an explosive pugilistic affair, is still a very huge letdown and step down from the titanic Pacquiao-Mayweather face-off that fell through.
