Amir Khan to fly to Philippines to work with Manny Pacquiao and Freddie Roach

Amir Khan will go to the Philippines this week to work with Manny Pacquiao under the watchful eye of trainer Freddie Roach.
The light-welterweight world champion from Bolton will be there for three weeks, his maiden sojourn to the Philippines came at the behest of both Pacquiao and Roach.

The boxer, and national icon, wants the 23 year-old there as a sparring partner, citing the young Briton's hand speed as of great value in training exchanges.
Roach believes Khan is better served working on his moves and keeping his physique honed to make the weight limit with fitness trainer Alex Ariza.

Pacquiao makes an assault on a world title in an eighth weight division, against Antonio Margarito, at the Dallas Cowboys' stadium on Nov 13, the same night David Haye and Audley Harrison contest a World Boxing Association heavyweight title in Manchester.
